LGBT+ History - Handkerchief Code Hanky
LGBT+ History - Handkerchief Code Hanky
Important! Velvet is away between the 1st and 9th of August so any orders made for hankies in that period will be delayed until she gets back!
In the mid-to-late 20th century, gay men would use colour handkerchiefs to indicate or "flag" their fetishes or what they were looking for in a sexual partner, with the placement of the hanky (or hankie) indicating their preferred role (left back pocket = dominant/top, right back pocket = submissive/bottom).
Own a limited edition piece of Velvet Snatch merchandise with one of these handmade and embroidered handkerchiefs in your choice of both code colour and branding on the flipside (either standard "The Velvet Snatch" branding, or an explicit "Tell Em How You Feel" branding).
Note: Not all the colours of the hankie code are represented here, there are MANY more varieties covering a wider range of kinks and specific interests, if you would like a custom colour that's not listed here then we can make this to order by getting the material in, order the "Custom" colour variant and get in contact along with your order number so we can discuss the details. These custom orders will obviously take longer to fulfill.
Because these are made to order there may be slight differences or imperfections between each one, making them quite unique. They should be washing machine safe on 30° and iron safe.
Thank you to drag queen legend Orla Diss for helping with the concepting of these and for handling all the embroidery! Orla Diss on Instagram.
